Ramadan is fast approaching and sometimes we get caught up in our own physical and spiritual prep, preparing the home and other things that we forget to carry the children along. With this in mind, we have curated a concise list of resources to help you prepare your little ones for the blessed month.
BOOKS
Books are our go-to resource at Muslim Homeschool NG and alhamdulillah, these days there’s a book on everything!
So here are some of our book and journal recommendations for you:
Preschool & Pre K years
- Hassan & Aneesa Love Ramadan: This short and sweet story follows siblings Hassan and Aneesa, as they experience and learn about the beautiful rituals of Ramadan with their parents and friends.
- It’s Ramadan, Curious George: Curious George is eager for Ramadan to begin. He is excited to help with preparations, looking out for the moon and keeping his friend, Kareem accountable throughout Ramadan.
KG to Elementary years
- Ramadan Moon: In this poetic rendition that follows Ramadan from one new moon to the next, we get a glimpse of the inner and emotional dimensions of Ramadan.
- My first book about Ramadan: This book, with its vibrant illustrations, presents Ramadan and fasting as a pillar of Islam in a simple and beautiful way to children.
- My little Legacy Ramadan Journal: A beautiful guided journal and activity book designed for children to take them on an interactive educational journey through Ramadan and the Qur’aan.
Pre Teens & Teens years
